I have always been proud to be an American, but these days, I feel ashamed. If I’m online playing poker or something and someone asks where I’m from I almost wish I could say somewhere else. Terrible feeling-it is. I am definitley going to the next large protest. Anyone who wants to try and help stop this abomination should look into it also. Here’s a site with some info:

America is a great country. It’s just been hijacked by some radical wingnuts. And the people I feel the worst about are the soldiers who have to deal with this stuff and make these choices. It’s bad enough they risk being killed everyday, but imagine having to come home with first-hand images like this. These guys have kids at home. I don’t know if I could mentally survive coming home to my kids after seeing something like that.
And none of this was even necessary.

Not to mention that the soldiers are NOT well taken care of! To think that they are putting their lives on the line for BS like this is a horrible thought. I would surmise that a very large percentage them are against this, but for obvious psychological reasons have convinced themselves that they are doing something worthwhile.

That being the case they are more or less nothing but puppets being strung around by the powers that be. That my friend’s is very sickening and cause for great concern. I believe things are going to get a lot worse before they ever get better. :help:

Ive heard something like 1% of americans hold nearly 50% of our countries wealth. Do you honestly think things are going to change for you? NO! The common working man is nothing but a modern day slave – PERIOD!

I belive the figure I have heard is the top 2% of the world hold 98% of all wealth.

Speaking of money: I saw this site which shows current $$ amount spent in Iraq (with current projections being added in – so it’s a real-time counter)

Then you can click on links and it shows what “we could have done with the money” and provides other counters that are linked with the amout spent.

Cheers my good friends with eyes open, it’s refreshing we have this community.

As for the link that was provided, thank you. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT the everyone sees the images that our corporate run media in this country is to pussy to show.

    [EDITED: lost my cool]

Our country is involved in the most hianous crimes of history.

The picture in that blog of the little girl…..that was utterly unbearable to see. Heartbreaking. Everyone in those pictures are victims of Bush and his henchmen.

Ass-backwards patriotism got Bush reelected — that and vote tampering.

Here’s the whole series of shots from the BBC. Share them with your favorite Bush war supporter. Support the troops, but not this fucking war.
