‘Super Affiliates’ get WAY better treatment. I have only been properly in the ‘game’ for about a year, but this year I have received two christmas presents from seperate affiliate programs (1 adult & 1 casino). The other or 9 I promote gave me diddly squat. I’m not complaining, but it goes to show that the programs take better care of their better affiliates.

You’ll also find these Super Affiliates get better commission rates and maybe other luxury’s that us lesser mortals don’t get. I think Janet, Professor and Classics are part of this Super Affiliate group (sorry if I missed anyone out), they’ll probably be able to share their experiences.

Business is Business, this treatment isn’t only online, it’s EVERYWHERE.

Excellent question Joeyl. While the answer will vary with casino we can make some statements on the matter.

The defining line between an aff and a super affililate is based upon what exactly or are the defining lines totally different depending on ones own persepective?

The defining line is crystal clear and measurable. Its performance. If I produce over 200 depositing players per month I probably fall into the super affiliate category. Now if I do anywhere near that at a SINGLE property I am certainly a Super affiliate in their eyes. As a proven performer I am afforded more leeway when it comes to commission, assistance and perks, as I should be.

This is a business and the producers will always garner more attention and resources then POTENTIAL producers.

Jungian considerations of my perception of the universe and my place in it have little sway with anyone other then my mates and do little to establish me as a Super Affiliate.

The preferred treatment that super affiliates receive is not limited to the gambling industry. It holds for other industries also.

    Hey Joeyl

“Super Affiliates have more pull and are less expendable, therefore they receive better treatment”..

Just paranoia right? If a small aff gets turned over, is it not likely a 2nd tier ~ bigger aff is being screwed somewhere along the line?

    (1) I don’t think it’s paranoia (you’ve probably seen me bring this up before) .

    (2) Screws the upline? Sure, if I’m in the Prof’s downline and “program A” screws me out of $500, it hurts me. But even if I’m a tier 1 position in Prof’s downline, and he makes 5% of my profits, he’s screwed out of a whopping $25. Now if Prof’s making say $50,000 per month (not sayin’ he does), does he notice the $25 loss? Probably not.

    (3) No one is saying that Super Affiliates get perfect treatment, just “better” treatment…

    (4) Super Affiliates probably get shaved more in terms of $$ per month than you or I – it’s just that it hurts us more so we notice. Because we don’t have much voice when we speak (unless we speak ALL the time and have big friends) a lot of affiliate programs just do this to us.

    my opinion only

    Very well said …

Id imagine these super affiliates are getting shaved more than several of the smaller affiliates make combined in a month. Like you said they dont notice it as much, and sadly most are content with the status quo so dont make the right moves to make a difference for themselves or smaller guys.

the super affiliates have their OWN 1st class auditors going into the vendor’s books & backoffice and checking everything, they get FULL access – they will be the LAST ones to be shaved.
They communicate very little with the vendor but when they do. it is usually with the CEO level of the operation.

and it is all about bottom line, a super affiliate ALWAYS work with a few vendors at the same time so he can compare preformance and if one of the vendors starts to show less $$$, his traffic drops imm.

one last thing, it is always: My Way or the HighWay in working with the vendor.

    Hahaha!

That doesn’t help. It’s all in the bottom line.

    I wouldn’t agree with that assessment …

    Example

    Big affiliate – 150,000 @ 30% = 45,000
    Small affiliate – 1,500 @ 30% = 450

So lets say I shave 80% of the smaller affiliates earnings Id get $360 bucks and the affiliate (some anyway) would be very irritated and leave.

Now shave just 1% from the bigger affiliate and you’d get $450 … the big affiliate wouldnt miss 450 bucks! He/she is content with making what they do.

So who is getting shaved first? IMO – the bigger affiliates get raped first! And, I would bet its a lot more than just the 1% I used in the above example.

would YOU shave someone who bring auditors to check your books, have lunch with you every month and drive about 40% of your total traffic, or would you shave a smaller no-name, no-face, large amount of smaller affiliates ….

I think a lot of people are shaved when they have an account that doesn’t have many fluctuations, especially when it’s on the low end.

When I have such an account someplace I sometimes suddenly send a bunch of visitors to see what happens. It is amazing how many of these “semi dormant” accounts don’t budge.

I also think that newbie acciunts are often shaved when they produce the unexpected whale. I think whales are shaved the most.

Who says all programs shave the same way? Who says all super affs have equal access? Shaving has to be an art and it is likely practised differently by different people.

Some programs surely don’t do it at all.

I sure wish there was a way we could cooperate with the programs and do audits that everyone trusts – I would like to do away with all this constant distrust and suspicion.

This industry would be such a pleasant place if it were not for those constant suspicions.

    I see. Thanks for answering..

So it is not me being paranoid.

I figured I should ask because I had the distinct feeling I would actually get more sense from the casino affiliate staff when I ask something, if I sent more players..

A better way to explain it would be I cannot imagine a super aff being treated the way I have overall by aff staff.

I don’t know if it shows lol but from a players point of view I am a casno cynic. I could’nt have imagined when I was just a casino gambler that the average punter gets treated better than the average affiliate, but it is the case in my experience, albeit very limited.

Almost every depositing player makes the casino money – but definitely not every affiliate does so.

Joeyl, some programs appreciate affiliates at all levels for the hard work they do. Some programs don’t seem to care about them at any level.

If you feel you are not being treated fairly at a program I would bet that the program doesn’t do a very good job of responding to the bigger affiliates either.

Don’t bet on it. There are many affiliate programs who treat super affiliates like gold but wouldn’t piss on you if you were on fire if you didnt bring them more then 50 players a month.

A prime example is some of the larger ones who allow certain super affiliates to SPAM like crazy despite numerous affiliate complaints publically and privately. The program listens to the complaints, nods in agreement with the complainer then totally ignores the whole thing. These same guys will send that Super Affiliate a HUGE christmas bonus while you or I get an unsigned christmas card at best.
