InactiveI wouldn’t worry about it, I change them all of the time. I think they state that for those people who dont know better and change the actual referal code.

InactiveYou can just ask the program you are looking at too – they will sometimes modify them for you. Do this if not sure how to modify and what the aff code is.
I have a problem with that too – I like to embed links in stuff I write. I modify them all the time.

InactiveIt is only a warning about modifying the link code… so you won’t lose customers like some dumbass did a few years ago sending about 500 players to a wrong affiliate link because he typed in his aff link incorrectly. 😮
Always best to copy, paste and TEST it is tracking before adding it to a bunch of pages.

Reminds me of the dumbass who copied my website word for word and forgot to change over 5 or 6 affiliate links. I never bitched because i figured it was a cool deal he was sending over his players.

InactiveI was dumbass no.1…who mistyped his aff id. Tell you what, you only ever screw up like that once.

That should be a standard rule if you copy leave in the aff links.
