GuestMy sympathy for the women. Imagine being on that side of the glass.

InactiveEuropean Prostitutes in most countries have a much better life than those this side of the pond do.
They have regular health examinations, insurance, a union, laws to protect them and bodyguards instead of pimps.
It is a regular profession and enjoys some measure of respectability.
I am not sure about the situation in Holland but I would assume it is legal and regulated there also.
I had a conversation with german prostitute a few years back and she seemed quite happy. She felt badly for people who had to use their bodies to do monotonous and possibly harmful factory work.
It’s a lot different when it’s legal and when the attitude of the fellow citizens is kind.

GuestThat’s true.
It should be made legal in North America, too.
But still, to be displayed like an animal in a zoo – you can’t tell me that doesn’t come at a price.

InactiveYeah well, it beats freezing your butt off at a street corner.
All those beauty pageants aren’t that much different as far as the display goes.
Personally I wouldn’t mind at all if a few nice hunks displayed nicely….

InactiveBelieve it or not, these girls must CHOOSE to display themselves in windows – if I am not mistaken, pimping is illegal. The girls pay monthly rent for these rooms/windows, which are apparently in high demand.
The rest – what Dom said. They are well-protected in Europe, especially Holland.
It is kind of a novelty for most people, even just to look – but since I live in Thailand, the windows in Holland are actually boring LOL. In Thailand they all sit behind one big glass window in a showcase.

Guestlol
Ok, I’m wrong. I don’t feel sorry for them!
But it should be legal in America. It’s the world’s oldest profession, and making it illegal is dumber than trying to make online gambling illegal.
Sorry to be raining on your parade, Integrity. My bad.
Thanks for the pictures.
Yeah, beauty pageants – omg, don’t get me started on that!

InactiveBeauty pageants – I was watching TV recently and saw a piece on little girl’s beauty pageants.
I really was appalled – they were like 3 to 5 years old, made to look like adults and act like it too.
That wasn’t pretty – and I can’t understand why the parents would do this. These kids were made to look sexually appealing.
I can see adults entering these things of their own free will – but 5 year olds?

I had to go look just like everybody else… It’s kinda cultural and kinda sociological all at once, and was facinating.
The only reason I posted the pics was Professor and others seemed interested in seeing them. 😮

Yup, I know what you mean, if I went to Amsterdam, I’d have to go have a peek myself.
Everyone I know who’s been there has. lol
Oh well, so much for my halo, I think it’s a tad tarnished.

InactiveI’ve also seen those shows where 5 year old girls are made to be beauty queens. The sick thing is that they apply loads of makeup on their faces, and thick lipstick, and they try to emphasize their breast and butt. They aren’t trying to make the girls look pretty for the sake of being pretty, they are trying to make them look sexy.
I dont understand the mentality of a parent doing this to thier kid, unless it’s because of the financial reward factor. Nor do I understand the people who watch these shows for the fun of it.
If someone wants to join a beauty pagent that’s great, but maybe those kids should be old enough to understand and decide for themselves. Otherwise the pagent should focus on what the girl looks like naturally without makeup.
As for what a woman does in the adult industry, as long as she’s of age & consenting, I dont think it should be illegal.
