Just to get an idea what keywords do you guys normally type in on the SEs to check up on other gambling sites?
April 6, 2004 at 6:35 pm #647583AnonymousInactiveI like using this tool:
April 6, 2004 at 8:53 pm #647585AnonymousInactiveThis is a GREAT tool! Thanks for sharing this!
April 6, 2004 at 10:09 pm #647588AnonymousInactiveYou’re welcome.
It’s a tool I wouldn’t want to do without.
April 7, 2004 at 5:16 pm #647620AnonymousInactiveThat’s actually a very good tool. But what I meant is when webmasters look up other affiliate sites on the SEs what keywords do they usually type in?
April 7, 2004 at 7:43 pm #647623AnonymousInactiveI am not sure what you mean.
April 7, 2004 at 9:54 pm #647632AnonymousInactiveYou mean: “gambling”, “slots”, “online casinos”, “play blackjack online”… stuff like that?
April 7, 2004 at 9:55 pm #647633AnonymousInactiveLet’s say you go to Yahoo! or Google to check up on how other gaming sites are ranked. What keywords do you normally use?
April 7, 2004 at 10:02 pm #647635AnonymousInactiveWays to find keywords:
List all of the applicable keywords you can think of.
Check Overture’s search term suggestion tool for more specific search phrases that include those keywords.
The keyword density analyzer that Dominique recommended will help you find more keywords that people are targeting.
You can easily come up with a huge list of appropriate keywords using these tools.
April 7, 2004 at 10:19 pm #647638AnonymousInactiveyes I mean keywords like “online casino” etc… I’m asking because lately I’ve been getting a lot of wasted clicks on even the most targeted keywords, so my hunch is that I’ve been getting many “unwanted visitors” ie other webmasters clicking just to check out my sites.
April 7, 2004 at 11:00 pm #647641AnonymousInactiveAt ppcs you will get some evil competitors wasting your money on purpose. Is that what happened to you?
You bought an expensive keyword and someone clicked on it and depleted your funds?
April 8, 2004 at 1:01 am #647647AnonymousInactiveIn a way yes. But I thought these ppcs have a fraud system for that.
April 8, 2004 at 12:43 pm #647668AnonymousInactiveThey do. But they don’t tell you what happened unless you ask to see the logs, and even then some people are smart enough to deplete your funds and you can’t prove it.
This happened to me in a very big way last year, some people went after me and clicked away thousands on various engines. I was never able to recover it.
