I’ll come say hello Randy, since you’ve come and raided my forum lol

InactiveRandy,
I’ve launched a message board site (non gambling) and I’ve watched other people try to launch message board sites.
Like any other site, you need TRAFFIC to be successful. But if you don’t have a lot of posters, it is hard to get traffic.
If you are serious about making your message board a success, you will have to market the site just like you do your gambling portal sites. That means doing traffic exchanges, search engine optimization, even paid advertising. Once you get a lot of people coming to your message board and posting regulary, you will get more traffic by word of mouth.
It’s hard work!
So unless you want to spend a lot of time and/or money promoting it, don’t expect your message board to attract a lot of interest.
Good Luck!

InactiveThat’s true! Especially when it’s a forum specific site. I had to put 2x the amount of work into it as I did a regular site to get my first site as succesful as it was! Let’s hope I have teh same luck for round 2!
I suggest networking with other sites Randy *wink*

InactiveI participated in the “collective” gambling board and it worked pretty well. Since alot of other portals had it skinned for their site but we all shared the membership it always had visitors. You may want to look into something like that. It used to be run by the webmaster of Bonus Hunt but he sold it or gave it to someone else to run. If you want Ill ask around and see whos hosting it now.

InactiveIn fact – heres a link to one of the skins

So I guess casinogamblingchat.com is hosting now.

Inactiveurl of your board? We would be happy to do a couple of posts.
We have a nice little poker community board going and that was pretty quiet the first couple of months, but with a few posts and signups the thing started rolling along nicely

GuestHi Randy.
I’m trying really hard to get registered on your board. But it isn’t working out well – It was taking so long after I clicked that I clicked again, then it told me my name “Fergie” was taken.
haha
So I’m trying again with Rowmare, cuz I don’t have a password there for Fergie.

InactiveI signed up…due to the massive spam attack on my mail server (22k of it) will be a little while before I can dig to the confirmation LOL

Guestlmao!
I have three emails from your forum, Randy. I have three accounts, so don’t get all excited – it’s just 3 me’s. Boy, that server was bogged down when I was registering – I didn’t get a single message saying I had created an account. Oh contraire, I got 3 messages saying the name I chose was taken.
:p

InactiveHmmm. I might have to look into another message board provider–I’ve seen it run a little slow myself!
