    nice post prof.

Do you think a minimum wager requirement would be good?

I am trying to look at it from both perspectives; affiliate and program.

Even with only a min $50 deposit it still is asking for fraud..make the deposit, leave it there, do nothing, collect the money again after you received the CPA…

    what do you think?

They can even just have a qualified real player stats…

eg. 10 real players 4 qualified…then you know if you are on say $75 CPA you have earnt $300 bucks.

A min wager requirement is fully understandable.

That’s what happened to me at Gold Key
I had 3 depositing players with over 300.00 in deposits for 375.00 due in commission, but they told me NO, because the INITIAL deposits were only 65.00. I think they should pay the CPA when the deposit gets to the 50.00 or whatever min. it is from that player.
the stats are reflected INCORRECTLY so you don’t even see the correct ones or KNOW what you’re getting paid until payday which stinks because what is the point of having stats when you have no clue what you’re getting paid!! I DONT LIKE THIS….

with other RTG’s at least you can SEE what you’re getting and GET IT. ( not to single out Gold Key but they are the ones that are doing this )

Also, paying on INITIAL deposits only is NOT fair.
the affiliate should be paid when the deposit requirement is achieved by the player over time.
    for ex:

Player deposits $20.00 on March 1st…

    NO CPA DUE

Player deposits another 100.00 on April 2nd.

    $125.00 CPA DUE

Player deposits 300.00 on April 5th

NO CPA DUE ( Affiliate paid max )

If i have a player deposit ONE time to try the casino for 20.00 and then likes it, comes back and deposits 400.00 ( etc ) why wouldn’t I get ANYTHING for this referred player??

    Also was asking adriches also:

If I’m on CPA for example, I’d like to see what my players are depositing in TOTAL anyway, for my own records. The CPA stats ONLY show how much you make and not what the players are actually depositing. This would be helpful if they could show this.

If you have good value players and you are on CPA, a look at what they actually deposit over their player life time could cause heart attacks!

This was me last time I did CPA: hairraise.gif

But that is my point, Dom, so I can see if I should switch to REV share..
How would I know if I can’t see those stats? I’d rather see them so I can evaluate. Remember I have a forum and a website, not what ya’ll have. My players are lower value players, for the most part and this is why I choose CPA, but once in awhile, I’ll get a whale or two. I’d like to see these stats.

Slotchik I agree with both of your posts and have asked Jonathan for further clarification.

If the players continue to deposit and their player values exceed the minimum threshold then I believe an affiliate SHOULD be paid. Lets make sure the T&Cs reflect this.

I also think the stats should add a field which indicates actual commissions due to help eliminate confusion.

So here’s comes Gold key to try to salvage a reputation of this kinda crap from the past. So they get new management, a new name, and pull the same old crap. Makes perfect sense to me.

If you’re going to go the CPA route, then $50 is waaaaay too low anyway. I know that the Professor is just using the amount as an example, but thought I mention that for the newbies.

From my experience, the average life revenue from all players is at least $500. In some cases it’s even over $1000. Keeping that in mind, I don’t think it’s good business to accept CPA campaigns that are less than $150 per player.

Like the Professor mentioned…make sure you check to see what the minimum deposit requirements are, and the other terms of the CPA agreement. I wouldn’t accept a CPA offer if there are too many terms and minimums attached, because the whole point is to get a fixed amount of money regardless of whether the player wins or loses.

If you accept a CPA campaign at $50 with a minimum “first” deposit, then you’re really giving away your players at an extremely cheap rate to the casinos, because their average revenue from “all” players (winners and losers, cheap players and high rollers) is waaaay over $500 per player.

    Hear Hear!

It would, in some cases getting close to $50 in advertising cost to get that player in the first place so a $50 CPA is givin’ players away.

We do several $150 deals and an exeption is a $75 CPA with a poker room.

IMHO stick with $150, anything less is really not worth the effort.

Ok Guys Gold Key stepped up to the plate and made an excellent change in the CPA terms and conditions.

Jonathan made the announced change down in the Gold Key forums area and I think it was a fair decision and I applaud their quick response on this issue.
