I can only speculate that they received a huge amount of charge backs from US credit cards and their merchant account was under threat of closure.

VISA and MC are now reversing all charges they suspect gambling related, up to one year without notifying credit card holders.

Do you have any links that talk about that Melanie?

I could see it leading to some very nasty legal disputes if they try and retroactively do that!

Nothing online that I’ve seen, no. It’s just various discussions with processors which brought this topic up.

I associated the two together as an hypothesis. I could be very wrong too.

When the Credit Card is not present, it’s easy to charge back fees. Often times merchants have little recourse to contest.

Two of the largest land based companies that entered the Market the ATlantis and the MGM both failed. I think this was due to not accepting US players.

Unless you have an established presence in Europe or a special marketing system the casinos will be hard pressed to Survive without US traffic.

I doubt 32 red will see any noticelable drop in income. They are focused at the UK player, and all their bonuses are in pounds sterling.
