Bishop you should have prefaced this with an introduction.
Bishop works with Focal Click. I think in the case of Focal Click the root cause may be that you have a very limited selection of Flash Banners and they are not esthetically pleasant.
The flash banners that Wager Profits, Gold Betting and Lady Dream offer are very slick and I use them at my sites. I think if you improve the quality and look of your banners then people will use them and they will generate click thrus and conversions.
When flash banner first came onto the scene I didnt pick up on them because statistics showed that a good percentage of my sites visitors were still using older browsers which may or may not have had flash capabilities. Today Id hope that a very high percentage of everones vistitors do have flash enabled browsers that do not require additional downloads.
With that said the only thing that Id see serving as a deterent would be quality as the professor has detailed. Create something that says click me and all your affiliates will be using it! Visual impressions / presentations are everything in a banner and if its simply ugly it simply wont get any clicks.

I use the flash banner with the jackpot amounts from Focal Click and I like the looks of it, but it is a tad slow to load.
Actually, this is a good question since the flash banners are generally more attractive. I guess most of the time I don’t even look there…
