This Week: Americans Demand Legal Internet Poker; Plus, CAP TV on How to Get More WSOP Player Traffic
LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
  Americans to Obama: LEGALIZE IT!
That's referring to online poker, of course, and not the various other popular activities currently frowned upon by U.S. officials. In the U.S., the big news over the past week is the fact that the White House's Citizen's Briefing Book lists the legalization of Internet poker high on the list of Americans' priorities. What's really alarming, though, is that even if Barney Frank's new bill to legalize and regulate online gambling passes, online sports wagering will still likely be illegal, thanks to powerful groups like the NFL and other pro sports leagues. Online Poker Getting More Acceptance

Mainstream Media Focusing More on Online Poker
A key driving force behind the new drive to legalize online gambling in the U.S. seems to be the exploding popularity of online poker. Just how popular is this apparently-still-not legal activity? Major media company NBC has launched its own online poker site, and viewers can soon watch the first- ever reality TV show dedicated to Internet poker. Click here for more.
