The mainstream media is like a broken record these days, all doom and gloom about the current sorry state of the world economy. And, while that isn't necessarily incorrect, sometimes you have to wonder why they're not talking about the industries that are doing well?

As states get more and more desperate for revenue, are they changing their attitudes toward gambling? In addition to recent court rulings in states such as Colorado and Pennsylvania regarding poker -- as well as intriguing developments in the rigidly conservative states of Utah and Texas -- we're now seeing more and more stories about states revising their "moral" attitudes because they need any kind of revenue they can get.
