	Even though I was sidelined by my doctors CAP Euro London went off without a hitch and was the talk of the town. Over 1000 affiliates, affiliate managers and industry professionals joined together for four days of heavy duty networking, advanced learning sessions and plenty of parties and late night action.

	Just when I thought it was safe to go back in the water I had complications which put me back in the hospital for another glorious 9 day stay. I got to dine on fine hospital foods, have my blood drawn by techs that NEVER hit the vein on the first try and get woken up in the middle of the night to take unknown meds for unknown reasons. Thank heavens my good friends from CAP made the ordeal bearable with emails, phone calls, flowers and visits. Once again you have my deepest thanks for all the sup

	The cards are being dealt and affiliate fortunes decided as our latest Affiliate Series of Poker Tournament (ASOP) began on Tuesday night. 49 Affiliates locked horns at Everest Poker and when the dust settled four were left standing and have earned a finalist spot at the tables in Barcelona. 	The AffiliatePrograms.com team and I just returned from Affiliate Summit in Miami and I have to say I was extremely impressed by the depth and scope of the affiliate marketing industry in 2007. A little background about my self is in order so you can understand my perspective.

	On October 13 th 2006 President Bush signed into law the Safe Port Act. The bill’s original premise was to provide for additional security at US ports and to bolster the homeland security efforts adopted after 9/11. This bill would obviously enjoy popular support and as such it was used as a vehicle to sneak through a piece of legislation that was NOT widely supported by US constituents; the Unlawful Internet Gambling and Enforcement Act (UIGEA).
