Page Rank (PR)

Page Rank (usually expressed as PR) is a Google ranking system that tries to identify which pages are popular in comparison to other pages on the internet. Page Rank is a scale from 0-9, where 9's are the most popular sites on the web, and 0's are sites that have absolutely no popularity at all (or have not been indexed by Google). Page Rank is not instant; it can take weeks or months for page ranks to update. Page Rank is calculated logarithmically, meaning a site with a Page Rank of 7 is around 7-10 times more popular than a site with a Page Rank of 6. Page Rank can be used to gauge the success and growth of a website, and can also reinforce your site's value to advertisers.
