UltimateBet and Absolute Poker Introduce Synchronized Breaks
Miami, FL (Marketwire) October 29, 2009 — UltimateBet and Absolute Poker’s latest software update introduces two exciting changes that are sure to please regular players on the CEREUS Poker Network and adds more smart functionality for an even better online poker experience. Today’s CEREUS software release introduces the major new feature Synchronized Breaks to their Multi-Table Tournaments, and provides a fix to the way the RAISE button works.
The launch of Synchronized Breaks makes it easier than ever for high volume tournament players to stay and play at the leading online poker sites. Players across the CEREUS Poker Network’s Multi-Table Tournaments will now get a 5-minute break at the 55th minute of every hour. Players who make a profitable habit of frequenting multiple tournaments at the same time can now rest a little easier and enjoy a break knowing they can step away from the tables without missing any hands.
For example, if a tournament with the Synchronized Breaks feature kicks off at 11:30 ET, expect the tournament to go on break at 11:55ET*. Multi-tournament players can make informed selection of events to enter by checking them first in the tournament lobby to see if they have Synchronized Breaks enabled**. CEREUS online poker players can stress less every hour no matter how many tournaments they’re involved in. Step away from the action at the felt for a scheduled five-minute breather, and re-set your game plan for the next stage of play.
UltimateBet and Absolute Poker’s new ‘RAISE TO’ button also brings the CEREUS Network into line with industry-wide standards of allowing the player to raise to a certain amount without having to subtract their initial bet that is already on the table. This feature eliminates the pressure on a player to do mental sums on-the-spot, and raising a bet is now a two-step process, instead of three. Simply enter the amount you wish to raise to and click the RAISE TO button.
The CEREUS Poker Network offers a ton of special features and functionality designed to create the ultimate online player experience anywhere on the net.
* Note: all hands will be completed before the break starts.
** Synchronized Breaks will not occur in the following situations:
– Tournaments that are still open for late registration.
– Tournaments that are still within the first blind level.
– Turbo and Ultra Turbo Tournaments within the first two blind levels.
– Multi-Table SnGs at this time.
– Re-buy/Add-on Note: 1. There will be a 3-minute break when the re-buy period has ended to allow for add-ons.
