6. Distraction

For example, distraction marketing is whenever someone says something like “Hey, this product is not for everyone and I’m not promising overnight results. This is only for people willing to work.”

But then, after a short while, they do promise overnight results anyway.

The initial distraction takes the visitor’s guard down, which makes selling easier.

Well, it’s not the most ethical technique out there, which you can surely imagine.
