August 4, 2009 (CAP Newswire) — Continuing its trend of becoming more and more accepting of the online gambling industry over the past few months, online payment processing giant PayPal has reportedly agreed to start allowing transactions with bingo sites in the Gibraltar-based St Minver iGaming network.

PayPal had in the recent past been reluctant to do business with iGaming site because of the UIGEA and its specific language directed at financial institutions. Combined with the recent difficulties online payment processors have faced in the $33 million U.S. government poker funds seizure, and its clear why the company has reservations about the industry.

However, maybe the global economic downturn is helping to change its mind. At any rate, the company has recently announced a string of new partnerships with online gaming companies, most recently with St Minver’s popular online bingo sites.

That’s good news for online bingo affiliates, who are likely to benefit from the increased ease with which players can now play bingo online at these sites.
