Austrian online gaming operators Bwin, formerly known as BetandWin, have announced a 19% increase in revenue. Their gross betting revenue is a staggering €420.9m compared to €353.5m last year.

Their sports betting revenues (gross) were up 21.1% to €235.4m when compared to the same time period one year ago. Turnover rose even further by almost one third.

Despite Bwin's recent decision to shut down after the historic site had entered its tenth year in business, poker saw a 14.2% increase in revenue – up to €94.2m compared to €82.5m. Over 45,000 players sit at Bwin's site during peak hours.
