Marketing Lesson We Learned in 2012
There’s an old Girl Scouts that goes says, “Make new friends, but keep the old.” That maxim is especially applicable to web marketers who sometimes get caught up the latest, greatest marketing tools at the expense of that old standby, e-mail.
Thanks to the incredible growth of the smartphone markets, checking e-mail is as easy as receiving a text. That means click-through rates on well crafted e-mail alerts, newsletters and bonus offers are still really high.
We’re not saying that there’s anything wrong with your new friends just don’t forsake your old ones.
As any Girl Scout will tell you, “One is silver and the other is gold.”
