Plenty of big corporations, like McDonalds, have stumbled on the social media path, but the World Series of Poker is definitely not on that list. Effel’s Twitter feed is positively dynamic as he interacts with poker players, tournament watchers and anyone else who’s interested in having a chat.

Effel understands that social media is all about interaction and that’s something that anyone who plans on using the medium needs to understand. There’s no such thing as a static Twitter feed or Facebook page. Getting out there and creating news and interaction is what generates those social media shares that have become so valuable.
