iGaming Super Show to Base Itself in the EU Internet Capital

February 17, 2011 (CAP PR Wire) – The iGaming Super Show has recently announced a partnership with Meet in Ireland the official Meetings, Incentive, Conventions & Exhibitions (MICE) Brand for The Republic of Ireland.

With the country now facing its toughest budget in memory as it tries to offset its huge deficit, equivalent to 32% of GDP in 2010, the Irish government is keen to continue to ensure that Dublin maintains its reputation as the Internet Capital of Europe.  Dublin is home to some of the biggest online names, with Google, Facebook, eBay and Paypal all having set up head quarters in Dublin and news that LinkedIn are set to move to the capital this year.  It is these ambitions that make the partnership with the iGaming Super Show and Meet in Ireland both well timed and relevant.

“Business Tourism and particularly conferences and events are a key strategic area for Fáilte Ireland, the National Tourism Development Authority”, says Keith McCormack, Head of Business Tourism and Events. “Dublin will welcome a large number of international delegates for the upcoming iGaming Supershow and we are confident that the city will showcase not only the best of Irish hospitality but also its exemplary capacity for large scale event organisation”.

Alex Pratt, Head of iGaming Business and organisers of the Super Show agrees: “Dublin has great conference facilities and the Royal Dublin Showground is a state of the art venue only minutes away from the city centre which will only enhance delegate experience. We wanted to capitalise on the fact that so many gaming and online companies have set base in Ireland, not to mention Dublin’s legendary hospitality”

Clearly referring to the 2,000+ iGaming employees from companies such as Pocket Kings, BetDAQ, Paddy Power, Gala Networks, Betfair, FinSpreads, SportingBet and Moneybookers based in and around Dublin, iGaming Business is maximising delegate attendance for the iGaming Super Show. The event is completely free to attend and numbers are expected to reach over 2500 gaming executives and at least 150 exhibitors. With a clear focus on the business to business and affiliate iGaming sector, the event will aim to unite the whole iGaming industry under one roof.
