Player retention is especially important for those on a revenue share affiliate payment model. Affiliates operating on a CPA basis are not directly incentivized to make sure their depositing players keep grinding away. But those on a revenue share stand to make cold, hard profit from player retention efforts.

The key to player retention is staying connected and relevant with your players. For example, sports-book affiliates can work to keep their players enticed by using email marketing to preview betting lines for upcoming large sporting events. Poker affiliates can work to generate excitement for an upcoming tournament series.

Sending a player to a casino is only half the effort. On a rev share deal, your affiliate profits are often impacted just as much by player retention efforts as they are by your player acquisition focus. Get serious about formulating the best player retention strategies to grow your business.
