#2 Penguin Update: April, 2012
Calling it, “Another step to reward high-quality sites,” Google rolled out its Penguin update just a few months ago and many sites have still barely begun the recovery process. In short, Penguin turned common SEO practices like paid link exchanges into serious liabilities overnight.
It’s all part of an effort to encourage more organic link networks, but that’s a ways off for the many webmasters who just had to tear everything down and start over. Thanks a lot Penguin.
