8. Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ)

Jon Kyl was one of the architects of the UIEGA, but might not be done causing gambling companies trouble. Even though he’s leaving office in January, he could easily throw a wrench in current legalization efforts.

According to an recent article on SocialGamer.com Kyl is very interested in leaving his mark on any poker legislation that passes through the House before January. Specifically, he’s like limit legalization to poker, and toughen up anti-sports betting laws.

But here’s the good news, thanks to general incompetence at the Federal level, the chances of any online gaming bills coming up before the end of the years are virtually nil.
