DraftKings signs on as newest International Betting Integrity Association’s member

DraftKings has recently confirmed that it has joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA). It’s a move that will significantly enhance the operator’s ability to monitor international betting markets for the kinds of anomalies that suggest potential match-fixing and point shaving activities.

The IBIA operates in markets across the globe and is considered to be one of the most credible organizations monitoring those markets. Its members are actively sharing data about sports betting markets and have already made great strides in preventing fraudulent activities. The organization is best know for its Tennis Integrity Unit, which uncovered anomalies in tennis betting markets that led to significant changes to how professional tennis operates.

In a statement to the press, as reported on by SBC Americas, IBIA CEO Khalid Ali said, “The association is delighted to welcome another leading name in the regulated sports betting sector to its ranks. DraftKings operates in a truly global business landscape.

“The addition of DraftKings’ sportsbook trading platform provides a significant boost to IBIA’s already extensive global regulated sports betting market and customer monitoring capabilities.”

DraftKings CEO Tim Dent celebrated his company’s entry into the IBIA saying, ““Joining the leading global voice on integrity for the licensed betting industry is a clear statement of intent by DraftKings.

“The company places the protection of its client’s businesses, consumers and sporting events from corruption at the forefront of our corporate strategy. This agreement provides DraftKings’ private operator sportsbook clients with unparalleled trading and risk management protection.”
