October 15, 2010 (CAP PR Wire) — GROUP C&GS has been working closely with operators, manufacturers, authorities and various representatives and distributors to introduce to the Casinos Caribbean market the latest products and services from the international market.
Before the 2010 edition, Dominican Republic had 22 brands of machines and roulette tables approved, for example. To date, this number has increased to 26. The support of the Casino Association and the Dominican Republic Casinos Direction was essential so we could fully develop our work and sit down the bases of what is now The Biggest Caribbean Exhibition. The authorities of this country played a leading role during CGS2010 Conferences. Mr. Julio Anibal Fernandez, Treasure Vice Minister opened the panel on March 11th, sealing the first day with Ms. Sofia Estevez, Puerto Rico Tourism Company Chairman joining Mr. Jose Carlos Figueroa presence. Virgin Islands was also present with the participation of Mr. David R. Oliver, Gaming Board Director. Bally, Cirsa, BMM, University of Nevada, Gaming Signature, were also important companies to crown panelists who completed the academic portion of CGS2010.
Main and important Executives from leading companies in the gaming World visited us, like IGT, GLI, Aristocrat, Shuffle Master, Stargames, Konami, Ainsworth, Merkur, Gemaco, Boss, Poker Tek, TCS JHuxley, Hispania Casinos, Signs4U, Suzo Happs, Hess, Chetu, Casinfo, and much more, totaling more than 400 visitors in the two weekdays, arriving from different parts of Latin America, U.S. and Europe. A total of 31 companies participated in the edition just passed.
As result of this International Show in Santo Domingo, work has begun on the statutes and guidelines draft that will form the basis of the Caribbean Gaming Association, based on the initiative proposed by Mr Julio Anibal Fernandez, Treasurer Vice Minister of Dominican Republic, which was echoed among the personalities who participated in the III Latin America Gaming Conference. It is hoped that the signing of this important agreement will crystallize in the framework of the V Latin American Gaming and Lotteries Conference, during CGS2011.
In this next edition we will be including and increasing the presence of specialized companies in Lotteries and Online Betting and Gaming.
