Carbon Poker Bad Beat Jackpot breaks $770,000 Mark — The Biggest Online

(Dublin, Ireland) December 14, 2008 — Carbon Poker is pleased to announce that their Bad Beat Jackpot is now the biggest online of its kind. Currently sitting at over $770,000, the Jackpot continues to grow rapidly and is expected to break the $800,000 mark by the end of the month.

The Bad Beat Jackpot, first introduced by Carbon Poker earlier this year, has grown rapidly and has become an incredibly popular option at the tables. "As the jackpot grows, so does the action at the tables," Jay Manning, a Carbon Poker spokesperson stated. "We are seeing growth at the tables on a daily basis; players are literally flocking to the listed bad beat tables, drawn in and excited by the chance of sharing in the massive jackpot. Some lucky Carbon Poker players are going to be made very happy and very rich sometime soon. This is going to change someone’s life."

The Jackpot, which has yet to pay out since its introduction, is seeded by $0.50 from every pot on all listed Bad Beat tables and pays out when a hand of quad 7's or better is busted. Currently, this is the lowest qualifying hand for a bad beat in the online industry.

The Bad Beat Jackpot isn't the only massive jackpot on offer with Carbon Poker's Caribbean Stud 20c and $1 Jackpots both nearing the $50,000 mark and growing daily. Carbon Poker's recent software release saw the introduction of several industry firsts including a 'Rabbit' feature that plays out a folded hand, the 'Deal it Twice' and the 'Show One' card only features.
