Bwin and PartyPoker Launch bwin.party Affiliate Program

Bewinners and Party Partners are joining forces to create a new affiliate program called bwin.party partners that’s touting with global ambitions.
An announcement posted on both company websites read, “We’ve launched bwin.party partners – a brand new affiliate program that combines the best of bewinners and PartyPartners. It’s an amazing global affiliate program bringing together the world’s biggest gaming brands which enables you to market all available bwin.party labels at once…”
The Details
While both bewinners and PartyPartners are touting the arrangement as a, “global affiliate program,” the global part has yet to be realized. As it stands today, the new program is limited to PartyPartner affiliates who currently have Spanish players. Affiliate partners without Spanish connections are advised to continue using their current programs.
The launching of the new program coincides with the opening of the Spanish iGaming market on Tuesday, June 5. Clearly the two companies are hoping to hit the new players early and hard with their new sites, bwin.es, PartyPoker.es, and binguez.es.
Busy Week for Bwin
This week’s announcement comes just days after Bwin.party announced a $50 million investment in a new social media strategy centered on a social gaming platform called Win. The company is also creating a development studio by same name, presumably to create new products for Win.

What it Means for Affiliates
An email sent out to affiliate partners hinted at further changes in the future, but was very short on details. “The new program offers you many advantages,” it read, “It’s exciting and there’s more to come…we’ll be in touch soon with more details.”
Company officials shouldn’t be too surprised if the affiliate world is a bit skeptical about their new program. Bwin’s affiliate marketing program has earned a rogue label on CAP and other affiliate advocacy sites.
Specifically, the company proactively added some very predatory clauses to their terms and conditions. The move left many affiliate partners out in the cold after bringing loads of players to the site.
