888 Holdings readies three state US sports betting expansion

Regulated sports betting in the United States is bringing iconic international gambling brands like 888 Holdings to the American heartland. Earlier this week, the company announced that it would be setting up shop in three US states – Colorado, Iowa and Indiana. It’s yet another sign that the white hot center of the gambling world is, currently, the United States of America.

According to a recent press release, 888 Holdings is planning to launch its new US operations under a new US brand known as 888Sport. 888Sport is tapped as the driver of a multi-year effort to penetrate the budding regulated US sports betting market, as the moves in Colorado, Indiana, and Iowa prove.

In all three states, 888 Holdings will be paired with a local operator. In Colorado, they’ll be working with the Colorado Grande Casino; in Iowa they’ve tapped the Catfish Bend Casinos; and the Caesars Entertainment owned Harrah’s Hoosier Park in Indiana.

888Holdings CEO Itai Pazner commented on the company’s US moves saying, “We are delighted to sign these agreements with three great partners. The US online betting and gaming market has huge growth potential, and we continue to build a strong platform for growth across both our B2B and B2C operations.”

Pazner also, rightfully, boasted that his company’s revenue was up 45 percent over this same period last year. He added that he expects profits to be up as well.

All told, the expansion of the US gaming market via regulated sports betting has been good news for operators across the globe.
