mad To ALL affiliates...VERY important!!!

guys....I'm watching sites of other affiliates and I'm so amazed by the ammount of links that some of you give the Casinos.

we all put many efforts to rank well in google BUT on the other way we give clear HREF links to the Casinos.

and I ask....... W H Y ????

for those of you who don't know much about HTML and SEO please do us all a BIG favor and use the NO FOLLOW tag on the code for those links (don't use it on link that you exchange with other affiliates of course!)

Google won't index link that are marked with nofollow tag!

This way you'll improve yours & all of us rankings in google which means more money for all of us!!!

here's how to do that right:
PHP Code:
<a href="http://www.onlinecasino.com" rel="nofollow">online casino</a
can we get averyone's attention and cooperation on this?

THANK YOU! and let's earn more...we deserve it cause we're working hard!

I would've thought that most of us link via a redirect and/or via a noindex/nofollow robots tag and/or file.

Really? I'm not disputing what you're saying at all - I'm just surprised. A redirect will surely generate more conversions (less copy/paste removing aff link cases) and a single file php redirect file is so simple.

Redirect scripts still pass PR, unless you use the rel="nofollow" tag. (Note: this is not an opinion or a theory -- it is a fact).

balagan9 is absolutely correct -- everyone should be using rel="nofollow" on their affiliate links.

Here is an example of a redirect script with rel="nofollow" in place:

Code:
<a href="http://www.choicegambling.com/visit-vip-slots-casino.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">VIP Slots Casino</a>
If you don't use rel="nofollow" on your affiliate links, you're basically screwing yourself (and your fellow affiliates) out of a LOT of money.

Please everyone, add rel="nofollow" to your affiliate links!

I have been slowly implementing some redirect scripts for my links. But frankly I would be a little apprehensive to have 99% of your direct outgoing links a nofollow. It just seems logical to me that your telling google you don't trust all these links when you use that attribute, yet you still link out to all these sites you don't trust. And if your linking out to a bunch of sites you don't trust, why should google trust your site?

Maybe I am reading too much into this, but if my memory serves, I think I read on one of the seo forums where a well known seo guru talked about the same thing. With so many factors, who the hell knows anyway, but the logic makes sense. Anyway, a redirect script works find and if you just block the whole redirect folder in your robots.txt, its much easier than applying the attribute to every single link.

If Randy or anyone else has any thoughts on this logic I would like to hear, it was a while ago that I read something like that abput the trust, but they know what the deal is.

Bonusgeek, using NOFOLLOW doesn't mean that you tell google not to trust this link (otherwise why do you advertize this link? ) . It just says to google not to Index this link and not count it when google calculate rankings and PR.
