Just read that the las Vegas Sands Corporation is looking to go online with casino and poker in 2008 targeting the British market - Interesting to see the big US casinos launching into the market again, however being from the UK myself I think they are going to have to work very hard because it isn't exactly a huge brand here compared to the US - Full story is here xxhttp://www.yogonet.com/english/detallenoticia.asp?id=8678

They bought the licence in Alderney to put the Venetian online quite some time ago and have been getting ready.
I was talking to them about a year ago and they said they had the software ready, too.

I agree let them be blocked by the banks as the Scumbags were more than likely behind Bill Frist and the instituting of the UIGAE Bill in October of 2006.
If they get blocked you will probably here the Chimp Dumb Dumb Bush crying unfair trade practices with the WTO, well screw the inept Monkey. Well in my books screw all the Land Based Casinos in the United States as they will never see a cent from me. Barry ![]() http://www.best-online-casinos-and-g...-bonuses.co.uk |

I hate to say it.. but i think we are gonna see regulation pass and every vegas casino will be online without affiliates in a year or two.this has been the plan all along. and who can compeate? they will have comercials, netteller and paypal will be exceptable ways to purchase, and face it these casinos can give away houses cars you name it. It will be great for players bad for affiliates. And why do you all think more are coming onboard for regulation? can you say Bribe?

I doubt they would drop the affiliate model, it is the way of the future...

Also, it is possible that players might actually like the current set of online casinos better than the Vegas "name brand" online casinos. The payout percentages at the current casinos might be better, the support team might be more helpful, the bonuses more attractive, the games more interesting.... The casino affiliate industry isn't going to die just because U.S. land-based casinos jump into the ring. IMO, anyway. |

I agree with Engineer. You have love the double standards here. When is the deadline date for the Antigua compensation?

I also think the bigger online operators are established brands themselves. They are seen everywhere from a football shirt (soccer) or taxi cab through to newspapers and magazine adverts so simply because you are a big casino in the USA does not mean you can knock a brand that is already known and trusted even if you throw millions at it - Remember a lot of the bigger operators have money to compete and have been doing it a lot longer so know what works and what doesn't.

Hi all,
well last I heard .. US is still around 80% of the market. no getting around Vegas' ability to market and to US players ..... Vegas is considered the one by which every other casino (land based here) ... is judged. again I repeat what i've said all along... you don't get people to come to the middle of a desert by being incompetent in any or all aspects. aff marketing ....? I hope but won't be suprised to see it change drastically. also as I've said many times ...I very much hope i'm wrong about that. a good point about software... microgaming has lead the world in software for online casinos ......best graphics .... etc .. as has their popularity proved. there are a few others also in the running but many are troubled by bad reps (RTG) ... and some of the others to some extent simply because they didn't weed their gardens like they should have ... and that may come back to bite them in the ass at some time in the future. ... be interesting. the above if online is allowed in the states .. which i cannot guess .... but certainly a possiblity. marketing to strictly out of states locations ...... yes I agree .... will be tougher. Add into the mix that the states are NOT exactly too popular outside their boundries nowadays (thanks GW!) ... and its not going to be a case of roll over .. that's for certain. my 2 cents. ..... and I apologize for our prez... and our entire approach to world matters. The US needs to recognize that while it may have the ability to force its views on other countries .. that doesn't make it right. and i think we will see that come about and change in the next 12 years or so. |
