As you all know, the N.J. state legislature overwhelmingly passed a law to regulate online gambling in the state of N.J., back on January 11, 2011. Governor Chris Christie has 45 days from the passing of this bill, to sign it into law. If he elects not to sign it into law, it automatically becomes law. Of course, he can veto the bill, pushing it back into the legislature, for a veto-overriding vote.

I believe that Christie will sign this into law, since he is an extremely progressive governor, who has publicly disclosed how horribly the New Jersey fiscal situation is. Yes, he is a “Conservative Republican”, but he is a no-nonsense politician, who cuts through the garbage, and understands economics quite well.

Do you think it will become law at this point ?

Yes I do. And some nearby states will follow soon.

I have to agree with Dom, once one starts, the rest follows (you have to be in the game if you want to make $$$).. their maybe variations in the laws though.

Yes, I agree with you guys, as well. What remains to be seen, is how this ripple effect at the state level, will effect our industry. That, IMO, is worth a separate thread, when states start sanctioning online gambling.
