Default Tell Me If this would work

Okay, I'm really interested in a skin at pokerblasters. The problem is that they require 5k to start up which is refundable after 90 days if you get 100 sign-ups.

My idea is this, but I'm not sure if it would work.

If you set up an escrow account from a reputable escrow company and looked for a hundred partners (must be webmasters) who would make a small investment (fully refundable, which I'll explain) of 50.00.

This would raise the 5k. Now we have 100 partners who would own the site (skin.) With all partners being webmasters we would have a mutual interest in advertising our poker site. Then just have it set up were all revenue generated would be paid off in the escrow account where everyone would get their monthly check of their 1/100 of partnership (minus whatever fees the escrow company charges.)

The 5k would be refunded because the only other requirement would be that the parnter must sign up for the poker website (this is where we get are initial 100 sign-ups. The refunded 5k goes right back in the escrow and is sent right back to the partner.

Am I over looking something here???

    Default also....

There would obviously be zero risk of scam because the escrow company would be in charge of all payments. And the escrow account would be owned by all 100 partners so no one person would be able make any changes to the account.

I like the idea...but the legality of owning an online casino is a little sketchy.

this is the problem: not every webmaster would be able to advertise the poker skin the same amount. So, for the people that would not be able to advertise that much, it would be great because they still get 1/100th of the money made, eventhough they referred less players than everyone else.

That could easily be split evenly - players could be tracked - and the partners all get a share of the profits after expenses, which would include 'affiliate' commissions.

Forgive me if this is a dumb statement as I am not very familiar with a poker skin. I did a little reading on it at pokerblasters and my first inclination is why on earth would anyone spend $5k to get 25-30% of the rake when we get that for free now just by being an affiliate. I am sure I dont understand this.

bonusgeek brings up a great point...Is there something missing that we aren't seeing that would make this worth it? the % is the same as being an affiliate...

This is what I'm wondering myself now actually. This is a valid issue, but my assumption (and I never should have assumed this to begin with) was that if you have a poker skin all other affilates who sign up to be an affiliate for your website would generate revenue for your brand. There is nothing on the pokerblasters site that states this though. I found out about pokerblasters through this thread so I'm now asking if anyone has more knowledge on how this works their input would be greatly appreciated.
