In my honest opinion, I would say poker since it’s a stable income. Let’s say a player brings you a couple dollars a day to max. of $5. Total of $100 in one month, you have 100 players under your account. The more they win, the more they play.
$10k steady income.
Casino on the other hand….if a player loses big. They either A. tend to stay away forever, B. Come back after awhile, or C. Chase their losses. Most of them fall into case A though.

Only problem is with Poker your players are constantly bombarded with Rake Back Spam while they are playing and a good percentage do get siphoned off by other affiliates.
At least with Casino Players they tend to stay with you.
So far Casinos still do way best for me, Bingo second, Poker a pityful third, despite the fact that I have very nice poker traffic.
I think it’s the rake back spammers, too.

I’ve found that while there is a lot of hype around Poker – the winning and losing is done by players, and that the “rake system” on Poker is very minimal with only a small amount of revenue to the casino.
My gut feel is that Poker players do not “play every night” … a poker player certainly does not keep bringi in a $1 per day.
Instead after an initial rush they drop back to maybe once or twice a week … and after depositing 2-3 times and realising that they are more likely to be “fish” than “sharks” they drift back even further.
Here I can share statistics from one Sportsbook that also offers Casino, Poker and Games.
Sports are obviously the lifeblood of my site plenty of active punters turning over $1.5m this year there. However, i go list and promote the other options and in the last 2 years have had some success with signups.Casino, I’ve had 50 cash players there, and nearly every month in 2004 it was a loser, a lemon (8 months from 11) … but a big December helped to bring it back to almost square. In 2005 I seemed to get over a hump, 10 winning months from 12, and good profits.
Poker has 45 cash players. Nearly every month is a winner (23 of 24) as you’d expect although in Apr ’04 I was charged with a lot of joining bonuses. A huge spike in May/June 04 as poker hit the airwaves. Small steady profits.
Games. I assume that this is the Casino players playing other gambling that is not quite casino? No player numbers available . Other than the fact that it makes a small profit most months – nearly as consistant as Poker.
But whats the bottom line ?
Well – in proportion ….Sports is number 1 … let’s say it brings in $63 per month
Then Casino is number 2 at $29.
Poker is 3rd at $5
Games are 4th at $3.Honestly, Poker might be consistant and a big particition sport … but it’s minimal for the organisation compared to other forms of gambling.

:popcorn:I’ve only done poker so far, since players don’t need to ‘lose’ for me to make money off them. I feel like if I can give good content and teach poker players how to be profitable, they will keep playing more and more. Casinos only make you money if you send them players who lose. I don’t know how I would feel about that, morally. Not judging anyone, but just not sure it’s for me, though I may still come around.

Best to try and teach your players the basics, get them into safe sportsbooks and casinos, and find them good bonuses.

agreed. I’ve done some thinking on the matter and the way I look at it: I provide a service that at least enables the gambler to have a chance at winning/getting paid; as opposed to going off finding a casino thru a search engine and well, anybody who’s been in this biz for very long knows that without competent help; you are likely going to end up someplace much, MUCH worse than if you’d chosen thru a reputable portal.
I don’t talk people into gambling; I come into play AFTER they’ve already made that decision.

You still need them to lose to make any money though, which is a tough row to hoe.
So far my experience has shown that poker players are by far the most loyal, they seem to play most every day or at least several time a week, contributing small amounts that add up to decent amounts.
Casino players can make more money in a shorter period of time, but they don’t seem to stick around very long.
Bingo players seem to be a hybrid of the two, they make a bit of money for a short time, then come back from time-to-time to play more, but not on a consistent basis.
Sportsbetters I like the most since they bet very heavy, but they are darn hard to attract. Haven’t seen enough of them to know how loyal they are either.
My 2 cents, I’m sure the answer is the same here as it is in so many other threads…it all depends what type of site you have and how you market it.
what ever the numbers per player, i’ve found poker (with the correct room) is much easier to make money with. most of my casino players earn me less than $100 lifetime (there are a some larger, mini-whales, that beat the averages), while my poker players likely average way over $300.

As to the morality of it, in the beginning I thought about it, and wrote in every footer: “don’t bet money that you need to fulfill your obligations”.I think lotteries and such are even worse, but are commonly accepted by everyone…
