Well, I downloaded two microgaming casinos, two that had the supposed fix to the “looping problem” I wrote about recently.

They download fine, but if you click on registering as a real player, you get an error that an illegal function has been performed.

You can still get to register if you use the flash signup and then play the download, but how many players will think of that?

I hope some of you download some casinos to test also – this is two out of two with the problem.

One of them I gave some sweet spots to this week and I see no movement…

New depositing players do seem to be off quite a bit lately at MGS despite the usual level of traffic and downloads… sleepy.gif

I think that is the message you get when you already have an account.

Nope, I had no accounts there.

It was an error message, I was a new player, and I could not sign up for real.

Dang, just downloaded another MG I never played, and clicked on sign up as real player, and all I can do is sign as a fun player.

I am getting really worried now. No wonder Micro revenues are starting to suck so badly!

That’s 3 casinos out of 3 that don’t let new real players sign up!

What the heck is going on here?

    Which Casinos Dom?

Perhaps it would be prudent some of us also tried them as well.

    Golden Riviera, Roxy and Roadhouse.

You should try different ones too. I’d like to know how wide spread this is.

Yes, there is a problem with the download versions. The games over lap the screen when maximized. This is one problem that the Professor and I have seen.

Nope. All is normal and I can access all casinos I am already registered at. Just don’t seem to be able to register at new ones.

And this started just this month.

I’ll find the time to download another new one (to me) today and let you know.

    Hi,

I downloaded, signed up, deposited via NETeller at Cap Cooks all without a problem.

The only thing that made me hesitate at all was the fact that at one time … I had already been a real depositing player there.

However that was like 5 years, 3 pcs, and 2 girlfriend’s ago, so I wasn’t surprised to not be challenged by CS, but anytime you encounter this sort of situation you are taken aback because you know it’s likely happened to you at some time in the past.

Am I concerned about the matter? Not really. I don’t blame CR taking into consideration that when I signed up it was thru Cap Cook’s original program, and that if I had to guess, I’d say my account was victim of time and of poor or possibly even corrupt management, and that it is unlikely CR ever was the slightest aware of the situation.

so anyway, no problems with signing up and playing at CR properties. which might explain why they are doing so much better than some of their competition this and recent past months (in my case anyway).

on a side note: Brightshare seems to be doing fine with downloads and conversions but they sure don’t seem to draw the big players like I’d hope.

    LOL.

Are these issues OS dependent? Or across the borad?

ok, Roadhouse has problems, they offered to sign me up by hand, so if you intend to promote them, wait a while.

Roxy – I did have an older account. They did merge my accounts.

Gilden Riviera – I also had an older account – really, really old.

So if you have ever played at a micro before – and some have been around for a good long time now – they come up with an error.

I guess they identify you by IP before you type a word.

It would be nice if they would inform you that you already have an account and give you a contact instead of just a freaking error.

It is probably going to happen quite a bit now that casinos are coming of age. Not everyone remembers where they may have signed up 5 years and 5 computers ago. Especially now that casinos stopped branding and all have almost identical billboard type entry pages. Would make sense for the casinos to encourage people to come on back rather than just giving them errors whenever they try.

Our life long players are out there, and it would be nice if they could return and play some more.

I just downloaded Lake Palace casino. I have a real account. I tried registering a guest account so I could go in and get some winning screenshots. This is what I see.

    Sysytem Error:

    An illegal operation was performed.

So I clicked on the “Register Real account” and got that same error.

Yes, that seems to be the standard now.

What it means is that whoever I signed up under back in 2001 for Golden Riviera will not have me as a lifelong player even now as I am trying to return.

The same goes for all the other Microgaming casinos – this seems to be a standard response.

Really makes no sense for the casino either to throw out returning players who might have forgotten logins over the years, or even where they used to play.

It’s not like there are only 10 casinos and they are all under a year old, we are talking a hundred or more casinos and years and years. And hardly any of them branded – almost look alikes.

Just another example of alienating and losing good customers because of the stupid bonus situation. I suppose they are too scared some bonus hunter will walk off with a few free bucks to let in that devoted player who tries to return.

This needs a software fix. Treat returning players nicely – give them a real message instead of an error. DUH!!!!

    :Ohno:
