So in a nut shell they want to be able to control our domains and make ownership decision?
Not pay a player if they only make one deposit? This happens all the time even in land based casinos. If I am in Vegas and loose my bankroll at a casino I just go across the street to find a luckier one. The first casino still made money on me.
I really cannot imagine them going this route as it will totally destroy their affiliate program. This looks like a decision by somebody who does not understand the ramifications or a deliberate move to no longer be in the business.

It's the same as with the other ones who disregard legal contracts, with impunity I might say.
The move is putting pressure on existing affiliates to either quit or move to CPA.
In that meeting in Amsterdam everyone decided that it was a lot more profitable to them paying only a CPA and never paying recurring comissions. The move is on to squeeze the % affiliates out.
I have noticed others lately pushing CPA more and more.... placing it prominently in their stats, making your comission stats look like a tiny percentage of what could be earned...
Well, things have deteriorated so much by now, I am going to be looking for small, hungry programs to promote. At least then I know they will be happy with some 70% of the profit I generate for them...Last edited by Dominique; 08-01-2005 at 01:57 PM.

Thank you Professor for bringing this to our attention today. After reading the new terms and conditions, I must say they are the worst yet. They suck! I will be reducing or eliminate traffic to Referback casinos in the near future. Over the past year I have already reduced their traffic 2/3rds and I am now glad I did. Diversification has saved the day for me and this will not have a major impact. I suggest that all affiliates diversify that have not done so already.

I've been observing threads about retroactive changes here for few weeks and...geez, what are the odds! - when I started few months ago, VPL, FA, Moneymechanic and Referback we're 4 of 5 programs I chose back then and built my first major page around them... And now, just after cash started flowing in, I'm getting screwed here by "reputable programs"
I think I'll stick to sportsbooks after all. This casino stuff is getting too confusing and risky here.
Good luck with trying, guys.

I can't believe this $#!%!
I skimmed the new terms and conditions. They suck.
Referback, why did you do this?!?!
I was planning to promote your casinos heavily in the coming months -- heck, I even made Lucky Nugget Casino my "Casino of the Month" for August. Screw that -- I'll be switching it to a Vegas Affiliates casino within the next few hours. This is unbelievable.

Am I reading this correctly? Are they saying that as soon as you put up a banner then your domain becomes their property.5.2.3 The Affiliate recognizes and accepts that Derivative Domain Names will at all times remain the beneficial ‘property’ of the Merchant and/or its licensors and in this regard agrees to hold the Derivative Domain Name in Trust on behalf of the Merchant for the Term. On expiry of the Term the Affiliate will transfer, or cause to be transferred, all Derivative Domain Names to the Merchant, or an entity duly nominated by the Merchant in writing, without delay.
If that's the case then I can't see anyone agreeing to this - what the hell were these guys smoking?
