Default Does Empire allow rakeback or not? confused

I'm an Empire affiliate and have been told REPEATEDLY by my Tradal affiliate rep that all Empire affiliates are prohibited from giving their players rakeback.

I pointed out to him, however, that there are SEVERAL big websites who advertise their Empire rakeback deals, and I emailed many of them, and had them assure me that they have permission from Empire to do this, and that they have even been provided with individual tracking for all of their players.

When I confronted my Tradal rep with this question, he denied that any affiliates have permission to do this -- all I told him is that I'd like it to be an even playing field, so I also can offer my players rakeback. Anyone here willing to clear up the confusion?? Do some Empire affiliates have individual tracking and permission to give their players rakeback?

I have read that a another PartyPoker partner skin like EP could no longer participate with affiliate partners to give rake back......... It was a long thread and can't remember where it was posted.

Good. If this is the case I am glad they are sticking by it. It is getting to a point now where some poker affiliate programs are beating each other over the head to get the new sign ups like this. Just let the poker rooms offer their own incentives is good enough. They give away millions now Before the days of stiff competition they used to hord it all! Also 2nd party affiliate incentive programs like this do not mean the new sign up is in it for the long term. They are just freeloaders after a free meal and most won't comeback and just stay at their favorite online room. I can see why some of the bigger rooms are cracking down.

I think I read a thread on casinomeister about Pokernow (party skin) discontinuing the rake back deals. There are a few poker rooms that don't have a problem with rake back. I don't offer it and never will. I would guess that less than 10% of online poker players even know they could get anything back and I don't want to educate them. For low limit players (up to 2/4 or 3/6) there is enough bonus money to make more than 20 or 25% back of the rake paid every month. If you just hit the crypto skins you can get over $300 in bonuses every month. When I played more poker I had a rake back deal and because I play mostly low limits I made more from bonus hunting than rakeback. My point is the players I want are the ones who don't know to look for rake back and aren't bonus chasers. I want them to find one site (on my site), sign up and play there forever. This is easier said than done.

By the way, mine was not at Empire. When I was researching it, I had a deal with an Empire affiliate ready to put in place but they found out he was offering Rake back and either banned him or made him stop. So I would say it's a no-no.

I would imagine that the parent company, iGlobalMedia (which owns Party Poker), would make them ban all rake backs. Otherwise, Party Poker might lose some of their players to Empire Poker. This would cost the parent company some $$$$. Hopefully we have a clarification soon.

in the Thread about this announcement by Iglobalmedia, it specifically says that their NO RAKEBACK policy ONLY applies to PartyPoker.com

I noticed that also, however, once Party Poker sees players migrating to Empire Poker because they are getting a rake back over there, Party Poker will stop it. Just my opinion.
