Anyone ever tried something like this http://www.trafficcircuit.com/ ? I’m sure it’s a scam, but it was interesting. Just thought I’d ask!

You are right, these are scams.

Many of these are automated clicks, no people at all. If you are lucky you will get some chinese folk who cannot read English.

These bulk traffic places are almost all representing two places in Canada I understand. There are no gambling websites this traffic passes through.

There are a few exceptions – they buy the raw traffic in Canada, pass the traffic through a slipshod banner farm, and declare it casino traffic. They cost somewhat more.

Please don’t throw away your money. If I was starting out, I would probably be most likely to pay a real SEO expert to fix me up.

    Domonique,
Thanks for your response. I think you’re right… if it sounds too good to be true, it is. This site claims that they only use REAL traffic that will actually see your site. But who knows what you can believe. And you always have the argument that if they have all this traffic, wouldn’t it be more profitable for them to point it to the casinos themselves, and get the affiliate profits?

When I first got started, everyone warned me not to mess with these bulk traffic deals, but I just had to go out and blow some money and see for myself. Everyone who warned me was right. These traffic deals are awful. As bad as Kanoodle is, I at least got 1 player there. (And it was bad enough that I wouldn’t spend any money there again.)

Dom’s suggestion about an SEO is a good one, but you might also think about checking out a couple of the better ebooks on SEO and try a little do-it-yourself SEO. I liked Aaron Wall’s SEO Book, and I also think Planet Ocean’s Unfair Advantage book is pretty good.

    Randy,
I love your recommendations, thank you! I will check thouse out. Are these books geared towards people that have a lot of prior web design experience? This is not me!

I think they’re both pretty beginner-friendly, but Aaron’s book is probably the better value.

    Randy,
I’m looking at the page for Aaron’s book now. I checked out the other one, but at $97, I thought I’d better hold off for awhile on that one. (That’s my whole January’s profit… ) :-)
    Thanks,
    Heather
