Hi all
I wonder, if this has happened to someone on the community here too. Basically my Online Casino themed YouTube channel has been suspended due to a video that apparently violated copyrighted elements. I can say for sure that is does not and it’s not like everyone else has 1000s of similar videos on the web.
Stupid enough, I didn’t spot the warning mail, so now that was it and the account has been banned. I tried contacting them through their form, but all you get in return is a basic response with information on Ts and Cs.
Maybe someone experienced similar issues and could give me advice on how to rectify this as I’ve been banned for no good reason. Just brilliant

Since you say it does Not then send them proof. get into a emailing battle .
I would just make a new account and start over ( probably quicker )

You’re right – (placeholder) YouTube (fill in “placeholder” as you wish), but I don’t feel like praise. Months and months of legit videos down the drain, with no real warning or case details to go by. I can only advise people who depend on YouTube to move to a paid video hosting service and steer away from YouTube and their bot-decision-making outbursts.
How many videos did you lose? Before I started in the casino affiliate business I used to do a lot of youtube marketing, one account I had contained Coldplay videos (some of the first yellow uploads etc) with some of the videos getting 20 000 to 35 000 views a day (the yellow video had 28 million views on it). One day I logged in and all the videos were banned and removed. This happens more than you would think, remember you don’t own your youtube account. You are at their mercy. Paid services are the way to go.

Well, I didn’t have millions of views and only have been on YouTube for about 6 months. I suppose over 40 Videos is not a lot then. Of course I have a backup, but you lose everything around it. A certain amount of traffic is lost as well as quite a view of my videos ranked kinda well. And I find it ironic that traffic to my site has since dropped to less than half of what it used to be (!!). It’s almost as if google added a little penalty on top of it.
In order to keep this thread useful:
I have since contacted the YouTube copyright department who (believe this?) got back to me within 2 days. So, now I will follow down the official counter claim route and see where that takes me. It’s hilarious, unless I didn’t contact the correct user who apparently flagged one of videos, he/she does not recall flagging anyone’s video in the first place. No idea what goes on behind the YouTube scenes, but I have a feeling they messed up properly…Anyways, once I know more I’ll post it up here and let you know how things turn out – may be interesting for anyone who upon their daily YouTube visit finds him/herself unable to log in.
