PCC

iLoveDaCake asked 3 years ago
Hello all,

I’ve just started paying for PPC on a small daily budget using Facebook and BingAds for my bingo site. I’m currently promoting 10 bingo rooms and have received nearly around 150 clicks but absolutely no registrations.

I understand it’s a numbers game and this is a small sample, but I’m looking at my landing page and it has continuity for what they clicked through for (article/offer info) and a clear call to action.

These 150 clicks are all highly targeted traffic, so I would have expected some registrations – even if only 2 or 3, surely?

Am I missing something else that’s crucial or should I just give it a little more time. Naturally, I’m concerned about getting a return on my PPC investment and don’t want to continue paying and not being able to convert.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

I tried PPC ads many times in the past, but decided that there is too much click fraud, from competing businesses trying to deplete one’s ppc funds to dodgey affiliates trying to make a few bucks.

I haven’t tried BingAds but have dabbled in FB. With FB that does happen.. It really depends on what your promoting and the offer. You have to remember on FB that these people aren’t searching to gamble or play. You just happen to have an ad that catches their attention. So the conversion rate will be way down. Also, there are a ton of variables that can affect the registration…

Here are just a few:
– What does the player get if they register?
– Is the registration short?
– Does it require credit card info immediately?

These are things that we need to think about when doing PPC, specifically on FB. Most of these clicks are probably new to gambling online, even if targeted well. So, trust would be a major factor as well. I’m curious to see your ad and the lander you are sending them to. That would give me a better understanding of why it is or isn’t working. If you want, you can PM me but if not, I understand as well <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

I use PPC and PPV a lot and find both FB and BingAds rather disappointing. FB is also quite expensive imho. AdWords works far better for me, but there are a lot of other good and cheap networks out there.

I’ve done a few tests with PPC traffic on Facebook – my suggestion – avoid.

I’ve had success with organic traffic building, but as soon as I involve PPC traffic and buying it from FB – I see my spend going up with no return.

There are a few articles out there, that Facebook may be jacking up the clicks to get you to spend more. Not sure how true it is.. but when, and if you ever say “I don’t make squat with FB PPC” … you’re not alone.

A while back, we were in talks with FB, our budget was about 30-40K a month to spend on FB.
Our FB advertising manager was so bad (as in 6 months later we’re still going nowhere.. and we have money to spend) .. that we just pulled out of the deal.

The last thing we wanted was to work with an advertising manager who wouldn’t be responsive to tweaking our adverts to get the best out of them.

Hi iLoveDaCake, you are facing the most common problem of ppc.
If you really want that some number of your site visitors also get register
at your then do off-page seo of your site.

IlovedaCake – oh I would have love if it was just that easy. Besides, it’s much better to be on the other side (like you’re the bingo site) instead of being the affiliate when it comes to advertising on adwords/fb.

I had a great success with Fb PPC, but instead of directly just link to the some affiliate program site I built a page with viral features.

I spent about 500€ to ads and I got thousands NRC and hundreds NDC. The page it self got about 40K likes and it dosent even had a direct gambling theme…

Facebook just doesn’t seem to work for me either. Not only you don’t make hits, but their numbers are manipulated too I’d say.
