Funds are urgently needed. If you are not able to travel to Washington DC on January 20, there is an important way that you can make a contribution. The cost of bleachers, the sound system, stage, transportation, printing placards and other materials is tremendous. We will need to raise $30,000 in the next few days. We began this fundraising appeal yesterday and we have received a very good response, but we must do more right away. Please make a generous donation. You can make a contribution through a secure server by clicking here, where you can also find information on how to contribute by check.

I know a lot of people are tapped out because of the tsunami donations, but it’s important not to let Bush slip into the white house without seeing the other side of America. If you can’t go — help others go.

    Cheers! Bernie

If you can’t pony up cash to support this effort, here are some other things to do:

Bush is a asshole! Bush Sucks!

    Hey Bernie,
It’s great to see you back online my good friend. The country is going to hell under the greedy fucking rich bastards. They all need to go to fucking hell. There are so many needy people right here in the USA. People who are poor and in need. We keep sending our funds over seas when there is true need right here in the USA. That’s where my donations are going! Right here at home!

The first thing I thought about when I saw all the planned events for the special day is: Do you think the media will give it good coverage?

Of course if it wasn’t for the mainstream media we wouldn’t be in this mess to begin with.

Problem with mainstream media is that most is owned by the corporations that are destroying our world. So the reporters at these broadcasting stations only report what the boss wants to hear.

Report the wrong stuff and you’re out.

In the Christmas season this year we gave donations in the name of all of our family members instead of running around and buying them a bunch of plastic shit. We asked them to do the same for us. PLEASE don’t send us anything in the mail.

We used ZERO emmisions and polluted ZERO. we drove nowhere, we sent nothing and we gave to organizations like:

Recount in Ohio – funded by the Green Pary candidate for pres: http://www.votecobb.org
FAIR (fairness and accuracy in reporting) – http://www.fair.org
    Indy Media – http://www.indymedia.org
    Democracy Now – http://www.democracynow.org
    INN report – http://inn.globalfreepress.com/modules/news/
    FSTV (Free Speech T.V.) – http://www.fstv.org
    Common Cause – http://www.commoncause.org
    International ANSWER – http://www.internationalanswer.org/

    Enjoy the links!

btw, if you donate ONLY $20 to http://www.fair.org they will send you a DVD of “OutFoxxed – Rupert Murdoch’s war on Media”

    which is fucking excellent.

    cheers!

    Almost forgot… Cheers Cappy!

PS: with an excellent community like this we should really begin to organize (informally)… people should always bring this type of stuff up down here. We have a lot of intelligent people on the board who are hard working tax paying citizens. Most of us do at least OKAY. Some of us are doing EXCELLENT.

We can afford to let some of our monies go into directions that help manifest positive social change. it all starts at home. so what better place than the CAP board? it’s my online home.

but lets not get stuck in this thread… let’s just keep posting good relevant info down here so that at least we’re being exposed to lots of different information – from different points of view – it’s easy to get misled if you only get your info from one source.

I’ve been watching the protestors on cpsan … I guess they were wrestled into a 1 block area … When preparing for today they requested a tent that could be utilized as a warming tent, but were told by the secret service that they couldn’t have a tent because they wouldn’t be able to see inside it.

The organizers then asked if a transparent tent could be used – this was okayed by the secret service. So the organizers purchased a transparent tent – then the night before were told they wouldn’t be able to use it because it might create a glare.

Yep – sounds like a free society to me!

It’s time to get out of Dodge all. People first came to this country for freedom-period. Sadly, it looks more and more like a dictatorship here. It’s going to get much worse too. Particularly if we all continue to accept things like trickery and fixed votes. :dafingers
