Purple Lounge never got above average status. Players were fine but no more. It’s probably time for Casino Rewards to finish off the brand.

You might find this interesting – Latest Company News for Media Corporation | Stock Market Wire especially the entry on 15th Feb.

    Also,

“Last week, under mounting pressure from player complaints, Media Corp – Purple Lounge’s parent company – announced in a trading update that it was suspending PL operations because the company has been less than successful since it was taken over eighteen months ago. In fact, the company noted, it had been required to shore up the operation with £ 900,000.

The trading update came in the wake of boardroom resignations from two directors, one the Purple Lounge founder, Chris Gorman. Another was an apparently disgruntled director of only 7 months standing who complained that he had found it impossible to extract information on the company’s activities from executive management, according to an investor newsletter.

Media Corp placed the blame for Purple Lounge’s difficulties on “negative trade press comment” arising from litigation against a Media Corp subsidiary by the little known CD Casino.com and its sole director, M. Caselli. The action was flagged earlier this year by Media Corp, which advised that it would vigorously contest the allegations, but did not explain publicly what these were.

Currently, players have no online means to contact the management or support with their anxious enquiries, triggering speculation that the PL support centre may have been shut down.

Complaining players have pointed to company reports from end March 2012 showing that Media Corp had, at that stage, £ 400,000 cash, plus a further £ 250,000 from the recent sale of two unsuccessful subsidiaries.”

Will be interesting to see what comes of the legal battle. Anyone know what CD Casino.com is? Surely can’t be funds and interest owed to any of Mr Caselli’s public facing businesses (Lyceum or iGB)

FTR, my affiliate manager is still communicating with me. Granted, the ownership can be just as dirty and deceptive towards their affiliate staff as they are towards their affiliates.

As far as I have been told everyone will be paid including affiliates.

It has been communicated as well that by next week there will be an explanation as to how and when affiliate and players will be paid.

Unfortunately this is the only information I have a t the very moment but I will keep you updated if I hear anything else.

They don’t owe us enough for me to worry about, but best of luck to those who gave them good exposure.

Great update! Thanks, Keith. That’s great to know that your affiliate manager is at least still responsive. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen folks just fall off the planet…

Please keep this thread going with any updates you may find. We’ve received a lot of inquiries on this from partners and our team is still digging to deliver any info we may come across as well.

It is almost worse how Malta’s LGA white washes themselves off this situation. They claim to be Europe’s biggest regulator when in fact they are no more than a registrant for gaming websites, just like Costa Rica or other Central American countries back in the days.

It is no news that the LGA does not provide any player protection at all, as this case just proves it once again.
