Well, I didn’t think they would do it… but here we are, with sites being slapped since yesterday for keyword stuffing and spammy link setups.
Matt Cutts wrote about it here:
Another step to reward high-quality sites – Inside Search
Yeah yeah, a couple of my sites got owned.. I got some cleanup to do 😮 :drink:
So I guess now everyone will start attacking each others websites with spam link campaigns.. this should be fun! :fencing:

April 25, 2012 at 12:27 pm #823845LadyHoldemMemberA Lot of affiliate sites been hit in the UK for the term ‘online casino’ with only a handful of affiliates on the first 3 pages – now almost all operators sites. Interesting that this BH site still performs well for the term ‘online casino’: Play top UK Online Casino Games – Exclusive Bonuses
April 25, 2012 at 9:59 pm #823874AnonymousInactiveUp and down, looks like I took some giant leaps and some big falls. i do think they over did this update though.
April 25, 2012 at 10:16 pm #823875AnonymousInactiveI might also add I noticed the change started a week ago or so, not yesterday as they say. I think it just got finished yesterday.
April 26, 2012 at 12:20 pm #823884winner.comMemberI noticed a big drop off as well a couple of week ago – but I didn’t panic and now it’s almost back to normal
I’ve also noticed when google is doing one of it’s major crawls on a site you don’t get many hits – it’s kind of like you are takes off the major index – ‘scanned and cleaned’ – and put back
April 26, 2012 at 1:10 pm #823886AnonymousInactiveLots of the top affiliates got hammered with this update.
I’m seeing some very nice jumps on some sites so no complaints here.
April 26, 2012 at 1:48 pm #823889AnonymousInactiveSo which tools are you using to see all those changes?

April 26, 2012 at 3:25 pm #823892bosshoggsMemberI’ve heard an earful from affiliates regarding this update… All over the board, but I must say… I agree with belgamo, I think that Google made some significant changes that may be overkill…
In case any one wants some additional details on the latest update, here’s what we’ve been able to derive thus far:
