It’s been an incredibly busy morning for the US Feds in Online Gambling.
On the evening of Mon. Feb. 27th, Calvin Ayre was indicted for operating an illegal gambling business and conspiring to commit money laundering.
Details Here: Calvin Ayre Indicted
To make things even worse, the Bodog Domain was seized by US Authorities associated with the alleged money laundering takedown:
Details Here: Bodog.com Seized
As updates come through, we will be keeping the community in the loop through the forums and blog… Of course, please keep us posted with any findings you may come across as well.
The burning question… What does this mean for affiliates?
February 28, 2012 at 4:25 pm #821989AnonymousInactiveThis is just fear mongering, the bodog.com domain has not been in use. Calvin will never step foot in the US. No bank accounts were seized. This may scare off some players but it just seems like a complete waste of taxpayer money.
It’s business as usual for the company.

Agreed, that could very likely be happening… Better be careful.
Quite choking news I would say.

Keeping us safe from terrorists I presume.
February 28, 2012 at 9:34 pm #822004chazMemberSo what’s everyone’s opinion on the charges? Do you think they are true, or another US Government move?

Even if it’s brands that do not accept US traffic?

Only if the NFL or any USA sports are being bet on then there could be a problem.
The NFL seems pretty protective of their brand. I’d feel ok with European Football and other non-usa sports venues.Poker I don’t know to much about but there is the WSOP and Hollywood Poker. Seems someone wants to gain control of these segment.
I stick with the slots, hope
