Microgaming vs. Playtech Games

rmeeuwsen asked 3 years ago
I just read the post about Microgaming vs. Playtech

Way back when, before the US government stepped in, my impression was that Microgaming’s reputation for honesty was better than Playtech.

Now as mentioned, Playtech’s reputation has improved vastly over the old days.

As a US resident, my problem is that in order to play Microgaming games I would have to resort to some real trickery to try and fool the casino site as to my location – which I am not interested in even trying.

I have no problems or complaints with Playtech games.

Does anyone else prefer one or the other?

As an affiliate, I would choose Microgaming casinos before Playtech casinos at any time. It is my undocumented experience that they convert much better.

I would agree that they MG can sometimes lack a bit in graphichs compared to e.g. Playtech, and personally I like to play Playtech slots.

NetEnt is probably my prefered slots developer, but casinos using this software is not available for US players either (actually, I didn’t think Playtech was available in the US).

Oh mostly certainly, real money Playtech game play is not available in the US. But at least you can find a site that let’s you play a demo game. I love their movie theme game graphics type games.

Being in the US certainly puts you ‘no mans land’ and ‘out of the loop’. It’s a competitive disadvantage when you are trying to promote games you can’t even play for fun 😡

Microgaming > Playtech IMO.

All the CPs of the past Casino Pays / Casino Profits etc really ruined my image of Playtech and no matter what the did those first impressions will be lasting. Back in the day I had no ill thoughts of MGS though the last 2-3 years their casinos have had quite a few more issues that have caused me to rethink everything.

I use a VPN to play games from the USA – actually had one of the MGS programs suggest it to me. After all I still need that access to try new games. <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

Both Betsoft and NetEnt have some really nice slot machines – I think MGS is going to step up their game or they will be over taken if/when they every reenter the US.

Mamma Mia!

I’ve been soured on soo many different casino programs, it’s a wonder that I still promote anyone.
I almost forgot about Casino Pays – ick. I try to learn from those missteps and then ‘move on’.

You’re right about Betsoft and NetEnt. I can also play ‘fun versions’ of those games without resorting to VPN or anything else.

It’s funnny too, a solution like that was also suggested to me by a program manager.

It is also a disgrace to Playtech that a program like Red Hot Revenue and it’s casinos can continue to operate. I have contacted them several times about it. Though they are polite and helpful, it is always the same BS about seperate companies, so that they can’t do anything about it. Income Access stood up a while ago and closed their attempt to open up a new affiliate program, GoldenMatrix! Playtech was quiet again. I wish someone could contact them, because it seems as if they are not answering my emails anylonger…
