The Belgium Gaming Commission has issued an official “online poker operator blacklist.” There were multiple companies on the list, including 888.com, Everestpoker.be, and Titanpoker.be.

Details Here: Belgium Blacklists 888 and Everest

Do you think this is a big deal or not so much? Or, do you think this is just the beginning of something bigger?

This could potentially be a big deal for those operators on the blacklist. Belgium is home to some very high stakes gamblers and it’s not just poker. They love playing table games like Roulette which has a very nice house advantage for the casino.

It’s a bit surprising to not see 888 and Party Poker on their whitelist.

As far as I know it’s Pokerstars, Partouche and one other one that I had never heard of that are white-listed.

Here’s the official statement from Everest:

“We acknowledge that the website EverestPoker.be has been blacklisted in Belgium. Our website EverestPoker.com has not been blacklisted. We would like to let our players know, that we are still considering our legal and licensing options in Belgium and that business will go on as usual.

We are operating under the Gibraltar Gaming Regulation which is recognized by the European commission.”
