Need New Headphones
I need to get myself a new set of headphones and was wondering what you guys use. I have a really good pair I bought when I had the stupid idea of starting a poker radio station but they make my ears sweat after about 1/2 hour.
The Bose Beats look really good but I don't want to spend $500+ on headphones.
What do you guys use? - 02-03-2012 01:27 PM #2Moderator

I don't rate the beats headphones very highly - when it comes down to it, i think you're paying for whats trendy at the moment.
These are killer
Sennheiser PRO 380
Once they go on, I can't hear anything outside.
They cover the entire ear.
There is no sound leaks, so you can turn it up and not disturb anyone else.
It's definitley a "sit at table" set of headphones.
For traveling, and when I am moving around I use these.
Shure 215
.. I can't fault these, the more I wear them, the more I love them, the sound quality is amazing. When music with Bass kicks in, it just brings a smile to your face.
The Shure 215's are the cheaper ones too.
Both cost me $300 individually at the time, the Shure buds get up to about $600 i think. - 02-03-2012 03:23 PM #3Senior Member

Thanks, I'm going to see if one of the local stores carries the Sennheiser Pro's for me to test out. I found them online for under $200 which amount as much as I'm looking to pay.
I have a nice set of buds that one of the poker programs sent me a few years ago. Somehow I've managed to not break them yet. - 02-06-2012 12:08 PM #5Resident Wine-O

I've heard nothing but great things about Bose... As for Sennheiser, I found the following- highly rated and $129.95:
Sennheiser HD518
