    Interwetten.comhas continued to raise the benchmark in player protection and responsible gaming.The online sports betting and gaming provider, founded in 1990 in Vienna, hasnow become the first company in its branch to operate in accordance with the CENWorkshop Agreement (CWA) guidelines. This has been certified today by eCOGRA(e-Commerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance).


    Gzira, 20.12.2011; The CEN Workshop Agreement was published in February2011 by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and integrated by the EGBA(European Gaming & Betting Association) into their standards in March. TheCEN is one of three standardization organisations recognised by the EU. Theobjective of the CWA is to guarantee effective player protection within the EU.The agreement contains a series of measures on the topic of player protectionin the branch of online gaming. In total it comprises more than 134 practicalmeasures concerning player protection, which are summarised into nine ultimategoals. Among the most important points are the protection of vulnerableplayers, the exclusion of minors from games of chance, the strict adherence todata protection obligations, the guarantee of secure payment methods and theuse of responsible marketing measures. Within the scope of the EGBA’s annualcompliance audit, performed by eCOGRA aninternationally accredited testing agency, Interwetten.com has been certified as the first company in thebranch to have fulfilled all of the CEN measures.
