We recently learned that Hollywood’s well known Spiderman Hero, Tobey Maguire, was a gambling man, having won $300,000 in a game of poker- Infographic: Is Online Gambling Your Best Bet
But as a follow-up… apparently the games he participated in weren’t legal. To settle a lawsuit, Maguire just recently paid $80,000. More details here from the Hollywood Reporter

Sounds more like a money grab by a bunch of people who got schemed by Rudderman. It’s quite lame. I don’t see why Spiderman should have to pay anything.

Agreed. Apparently, the poker games were illegal. Sounds like a tangled mess and people are getting greedy to get in on the money.
