I wonder why not every download converts into a player.

Do you think people have problems with installing the software?

I think almost every software download should be at least a fun player.

    How do you think?

With some programs the download to player ratio has really gotten out of hand. It has gotten worse and worse over the years.

Some of this is due to the players who download already being in someone else’s account and returning to the casino after a long break.

Some of it is due to insufficient follow up by casinos – all downloads should be followed up on and casinos need to find out why the download didn’t result in a signup, and also why the signup didn’t result in a deposit. This is best done with a “personal letter”, not some impersonal HTML.

Sometimes I am very surprised at which programs have such a bad ratio and can’t figure it out.

But essentially the fault lies with the casino – all you can do is deliver an interested player who goes as far as downloading to their door. From there on the sale is theirs.

Unfortunately – in many cases I think I could definitely do a better job of it.

I can say that if I download a software for example for creating graphics I install it, try it and decide if to keep it or not.

But I have to say to that when I made my first steps with windows and installed my first softwares I made mistakes and was like  .

I wish casinos would give me the email addresses of players who downloaded.

I think some casinos track downloads in diferent ways. i.e. some may count a download as someone that just visits the download page, others may count a download as someone that downloads and installs the software.
    eg
Some casinos I promoted count up to 20 downloads per 1 real acct
Others like adriches count 2 downloads per 1 real acct.

True, you have “attempted downloads” and “real downloads”.

However, it doesn’t account for the increasing number of downloads needed per real player in many places. They are all still counting them the way they always did.

yeah, there are times when the download count increases each time the button is hit. so if a download fails, and visitors try to download again, it counts twice.

one thing i’m noticing for poker sites is that if someone downloads and then realizes they need to register to play (even for fun), they may get spooked. not wanting to give up their “internet anonymity”. so, downloads, with no players.
