Live Dealers vs. Not
I read/saw the interview with Gian Perroni, and I was interested to read his views on live gaming as opposed to not. I actually think live gaming works better in some markets, not in others. Especially when it comes to table games. I can see it working quite well in asian countries and the old eastern bloc countries.
There is always a market for something, but whether it is big enough to be profitable for affiliates and webmasters on a large scale is another issue.. your thoughts?

I think is worth affiliates looking at and being a micro niche is a plus. You can defiantly offer players especially those who prefer table games something unique and create some good content on it which is always a plus. The demographics data so far shows a higher player value which helps in terms of making this profitable for affiliates.
It will be interesting over the next six months to see which markets do best. I'm also interested in the data coming out of studio verses live casino. I have a feeling the live casino products will win out especially for those affiliates that target the market the casino operates in.
On a side note, Gian is a wealth of information on this topic and I was fortunate enough to meet with him during the Dublin show.....one of my most interesting meetings and I'm really glad we were able to get a Skype interview. - 08-23-2011 03:52 PM #3Moderator

I think the software plays a huge part in the experience as well with living dealers - well as with most things! Have messed around with 3 different products, and its amazing how unfriendly some were.
It defeated the purpose of the trying to give the human element through live dealers, when you couldn't figure out how to use the software without having to mess around with it. - 08-24-2011 12:35 AM #4CAP Listed Program - Live Casino Partners

Must Have Affilliate Programs for the Live Casino Niche
Firstly, I'd like to say that Gian has been a reputable member of the online gaming community for years. He has profound knowledge of the live gaming niche, and doesn't mind sharing. His affiliate program for FairWay Casino is here:
At the present time there are two main thoughts of live gaming.
(1) The first is the live studio dealers who are typically found in a specialized studio who serve the live table games without normal players coming in from the street. The dealers are typically more engaging with the players giving them more affective relationship that you will find in their counterpart. They develop a relationship with the dealers. Celtic Casino is one of our brands that offer a studio environment as mentioned above. A significant amount of players enjoy the extra attention. Others prefer not to be talked to.
(2) The second is having the dealers off of real casinos and play congruently. One example is our other "real casino" brand is Lucky Live Casino which offers live streaming from the Fitzwilliam Card Club in Dublin, Ireland. In a certain way it's more real (coming from a real casino), but the dealer interaction is not up to par for some players. I think there's a 50% 50% when it comes to players preferences. I'll have to study that further and get solid results.
I don't want to sound like I'm pushing our program too much. My main goal is to educate on the current status of live casino niche. I sincerely believe in the live casino niche. I am sure they will will be as big a mainstream item as online slots. They are more engaging, entertaining, and authentic. These factors lend to the player experiencing a more authentic casino experience. Consequently, higher revenues (Higher Player Values), better conversions, and our program is number one on retention as well. If you are thinking of getting into the live casino niche while it's still in it's infancy then I'd recommend the following programs:
These are the HOT MUST HAVE ON MY LIST AFFILIATE PROGRAMS FOR LIVE GAMES
- LiveCasinoPartners.com (Our program , offers 2 distinct brands. One from Fitwilliam Card Club and Casino in Dublin Ireland using Vuetec software. Celtic Casino being streamed from a live studio with very attentive attractive and professional dealers. Software used at CelticCasino is from VisionaryiGaming.
- Dublinbet affiliate program (They offer a solid team, stable and regular payments, and great conversions.
- Fairway Affiliate Program (Run by Gian, who we know is a good leader in the niche)
- Castle Casino Affiliate Program (run by a solid reputable group)
- ...others that make the list, but not the "hot must have" list is SmartLiveCasino.com and SuperCasino.com
If anyone has any more questions that you think I might be able to help you with please email me or PM me here. By the way, Most don't consider it a micro niche anymore. -

I've played at a few "live" casinos online. The worst feature is that time limit thing. If it times out you lose your chance to raise, hit or whatever (depending on the game). With poker it's not so bad because the software will play your hand till the end -- only if you continually time out, will it fold you. But if you're playing something like BJ and you have an 11 with the chance to double, then you time out -- disaster.

I wasn't so sure about live gaming... until I met a bunch of guys in Barcelona (Casino Creed) who showed me how they operate. Their tables aren't in a studio, its actually in live casinos around the world. Now that is awesome. You play against real people, in real casinos.
They also have live roulette. I always just considered Blackjack.. but I can see how awesome roulette would be, with other people at the tables. - 09-16-2011 09:56 PM #7Member

Live Casinos or...
I definitely will start promoting live casino games on my website. (LCP - I've just sent in my application!)
As Rak says, live casino games can deliver stellar results in Asia and some countries in central and eastern Europe. I've tried out the live casino offers myself (through Smart and DublinBet) and I was very impressed!
The other great thing about live casinos is that they don't require any downloading. 5-6 years ago, I remember that Mac users didn't have many choices when it came to online gambling, because all the major online casinos required players to download .exe programmes. It's great that most online casinos have improved their no-download offers over the last couple of years.
... so I'm totally pro-Live! - 01-08-2012 08:28 PM #10Member

I promote live casinos quite a bit, and it's not really such a niche market any more.
Most big online casinos in Europe have added a live gambling section to their websites.
Different things appeal to different players though, so it's good to give a choice.
Personal attention, glamorous dealers or more 'authentic' atmosphere etc
